Improving Partnerships  
 

Partners can be of various types:

  • Suppliers providing you with products and services
  • Enterprises with which you collaborate on a specific project – e.g. an infrastructure project
  • Enterprises with whom you have formed a long-term alliance, and whose collaboration is critical to your long-term welfare.

The main factors that drive a successful partnership will vary considerably, depending on which of the relationships (a), (b) or (c) is appropriate.  What are these drivers and their attributes, and where do you need to focus attention to improve the relationship in each case?
